UP Scholarship Status 2025–26

If you’re a student in Uttar Pradesh waiting for your UP Scholarship 2025–26 payment or application status, you’re not alone. With lakhs of students applying every year, it can get confusing to track your exact progress—especially with the new semester-wise disbursement model now in place.

I’ve helped many students through this process, and in this blog, I’m sharing everything I’ve found—how to check UP scholarship status online, what the new payment system means, and what to do if your scholarship is delayed.

About UP Scholarship 2025–26

The UP Scholarship Scheme is one of India’s biggest student welfare initiatives run by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It supports students from SC/ST/OBC/Minority/General categories studying in schools, colleges, and universities.

This includes:

  • Pre-Matric Scholarships (Class 9–10)

  • Post-Matric Scholarships (Class 11–12, UG, PG, Diploma, ITI, etc.)

Now let’s get into how to check your application or payment status online.

How to Check UP Scholarship Status 2025–26

There are two official methods to track your scholarship progress:

New Update: Semester-Wise Scholarship Disbursement

This year, the UP Government introduced a semester-wise payment system for post-matric students. Earlier, students received the full-year amount in one go—now it’s split into two equal instalments.

Why the change?

  • To avoid delays in disbursement

  • To catch fraud and fake applications through real-time verification

  • To give students regular financial support every semester

What this means for you:

  • Expect two disbursements: one after Semester 1 verification and one after Semester 2

  • If you don’t see full amount yet—don’t panic. You might receive the second half later.
