Telangana Minority Overseas Scholarship 2025

To help better qualified minority students pursue postgraduate and doctoral studies overseas, the Government of Telangana initiated the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities. Since its announcement on 25.04.2015 as well as the financially commenced on 2015-16, government of Telangana has helped hundreds of exceptionally bright students meet students enter the highest global universities.

In 2025, this transformational scheme offers up to ₹20 lakh of financial support, along with one-way airfare and living costs for selected candidates in all minority sectors, while seeking to uplift a wholly underrepresented community through education and global exposure.

Telangana CM Overseas Scholarship 2025 provides up to ₹20 lakh in funding for minority students aspiring to study in the USA, UK, Australia, and seven other countries. Apply online through the ePASS portal before June 30, 2025!

Benefits

• Tuition Fee Assistance:

  • Installment I: ₹10,00,000 or actual tuition (whichever is lower) upon landing and visa proof.

  • Installment II: ₹10,00,000 or actual tuition (whichever is lower) upon submission of 1st semester results.

• Living Expense Assistance (as a grant)

• One-Way Airfare Reimbursement

• Support for a Visa using the sanction letter

• Educational Loan: Facility available from nationalized banks

• Teaching/Research Assistantship: Permissible to supplement income

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a resident of Telangana

• Belong to the Minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi)

• Must have obtained admission to a foreign university in an eligible country

• Must possess:

  • Valid Passport

  • TOEFL/IELTS & GRE/GMAT scores

• Family income should not exceed ₹5,00,000 per annum

• Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as of July 1, 2025

• Minimum Academic Qualification:

  • PG: 60% marks in UG degree (Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, etc.)

  • PhD: 60% marks in PG degree

• Only one child from a family can benefit

• One-time benefit only
