SIRISH Post-matric Scholarship 2025: How to Apply Online, Eligibility & More

Assam Government has opened the Online Application for the SIRISH Post-Metric Scholarship 2025. This scholarship program is provided by the State Govt of Assam, under the Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare Department. What is the SIRISH Post-matric Scholarship 2025?

Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare Department provides the SIRISH Post-Matric Scholarship for students who are enrolled in 11th, 12th, or pursuing Graduation, undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional courses at a recognised college and belong to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community of Assam. SRISH is an Online integrated portal for all the scholarship programs of the Department of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare. This is also one of the scholarships that will be managed and applied for on this platform.

SIRISH Post-matric Scholarship scheme is aimed at encouraging ST Students to continue their education beyond the secondary level. This scheme removes financial burden and obstacles faced by the student from ST in Assam for further education afthe ter metric. This scholarship aims to increase the literacy rates within the ST community. The Post-Metric Scholarship ultimately empowers the ST community of Assam by improving their access to education and employment opportunities.

Who is eligible for the SHIRISH Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme?

Before applying for the SHIRISH Scholarship 2025, all students should read about the eligibility criteria.

• Applicant must belong to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi in the Indian State of Assam.
• The student should be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Applicant has completed the Matric (10th) with above 50% marks or equivalent grades.
• Applicant must be pursuing studies from Class-XI to normal Three Years Degree Courses (BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, Integrated Graduate + Post Graduate courses like integrated MBA/BA-LLB/BA-B.Ed./MSW, etc.).
• Applicant’s annual family income should not exceed Rs 5 Lacs per annum, and parents have to submit the undertaking form for it.
• All children of the same parents/guardians are eligible.
• Students studying through a correspondence course are also eligible to apply.
• Applicant must produce a recommendation letter from the Headmaster/ Principal or admission/fee receipts.
• Students can apply for only one scholarship at a time. Students who are taking coaching at any pre-examination training centres with financial assistance from the Government will not be eligible.

NOTE: These are major eligibility criteria for this scholarship. Applicants must meet all the criteria to become eligible for this scholarship. 

Which Documents are required for the Online Application?

Here, we have shared the two categories of documents required as per the user type. Look at the list below to know about the complete document list:

1st) List of documents to be uploaded (For Fresh Applicants) – Applicants who will apply for the first time in the portal:

• Original copy of Birth Certificate/HSLC Admit/HSLC Pass Certificate as age proof.
• Copy of the Mark-sheet of the last examination passed to be uploaded.
• Admission fee receipt of the course being undertaken/Recommendation from Principal.
• Undertaking on family income as per the attached format.
• Original copy of the caste certificate.
• Original copy of Aadhaar Card.
• First page of the applicant’s bank passbook.

2nd) List of documents to be uploaded (For Existing Applicants) – Applicants who have already applied last year for the scheme: 

• Copy of the Mark-sheet of the last examination passed to be uploaded.
• Admission fee receipt of the course being undertaken/Recommendation from Principal (Current Year).

How to Register for SHIRISH Post-Matric Scholarship 2025?

Before applying for the Scholarship, you have to register on the portal if you are new. Otherwise, you can log in and apply for your scholarship. Here is the procedure for registration:

1. Visit the official website of Shirish Portal, i.e, https://sirishassam.in/
2. On the Homepage, click on the Login option.
3. Then, click on the “Sirish Login”.
4. Choose the appropriate server link given on the page.
5. A new Login page will appear. Here, you can enter your login credentials and log in.
6. If you are new to the portal. Click on “Don’t have an Account? Sign Up” Link.
7. The next page will open with the Validate your Mobile Number page.
8. Enter your Mobile Number and OTP, then click on the validate button.
9. First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Email ID, and select Gender
10. Enter Login Password and again enter Confirm Login Password.
11. Click on the “Submit Now” button. You will register at the portal.
12. Now, you can log in to the portal.

How to Apply Online for SHIRISH Scholarship 2025?

Once you have registered, you can apply for the Scholarship. Follow the steps below for the Online Application:

• Go through this Link => https://sirishassam.in/home/login. 
• On the homepage, you have to log in and will be taken to the dashboard.
• Click on the “APPLY ONLINE” tab and select the Scheme, i.e, Post-Metric Scholarship
• After that, enter Personal Details and fill in all the mandatory columns.
• Then, Select District, Assembly Constituency, Sub-Division, GP/VCDC, and Tea Garden from the drop-down list.
• If GP/VCDC and Tea Garden names are not available, use the “OTHERS” option and manually enter.
  The field is available for the same.
• After completing the details, upload all the documents that are required.
• Then, update your bank details by entering the Bank Account Number, Bank Name, Branch Name, and IFSC Code.
• Preview the Application and click on the Final Submission tab. Your application will be submitted.
• Now, you can track your scholarship status, and you will receive the confirmation email and SMS.

SIRISH Post-matric Scholarship Amount in 2025

Important Note: The Scholarship Money will be made available to the students directly through E-transferring. The Directorate will keep proper records and monitor the implementation of the scheme.
