Rajasthan Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence 2025: Study Abroad with Financial Assistance

Launched in memory of late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, the Rajasthan Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence provides financial aid to meritorious students of Rajasthan who are pursuing higher studies at the top 150 QS-ranked international universities. The scheme, started in 2021, supports undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, and post-doctoral studies across all disciplines.

E3 Category (Income > ₹25 Lakh/year)

• Tuition & Bench Fee: Up to ₹50 Lakh
No support for living expenses


Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan
• Must be younger than 35 years as of July 1, 2025
• Must have secured admission/offer letter from any of the Top 150 QS World-Ranked Universities (as of April 1, 2025)
• All disciplines eligible – UG, PG, PhD, Post-Doctoral
• A maximum of 7.5% of seats are reserved for UG-level technical courses like engineering, medical, architecture, and dentistry

  2. Log in using your SSO ID. New users must register and update their profiles first.

  3. Navigate to the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence scheme.

  4. Select your name and bank account from the profile.

  5. Fill out personal, academic, and university details.

  6. Upload required documents (see list below).

  7. Click “Submit” to generate your Application ID.

  8. Save or print your application confirmation for future use.

    The top 150 QS World-ranked universities available as of 1st April of that financial year are allowed.
  • Will the list of applicable universities change from opening to closing of the portal?
    No, university list available as on 1st April of a financial year and as decided by the government will be applicable for the whole financial year.
  • Will this scholarship help in getting admission to foreign universities?
    No, this scholarship scheme only provides financial assistance after getting admission in foreign university. For admission, applicants will have to make efforts on own. It is advised to visit the websites of the respective universities for admission details.
