Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a student with disability, with 40% or more certified disability as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016
• Should be pursuing post-matric education: Class 11, 12, Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate programs
• Must be studying in a recognized institution by UGC/AICTE
• Annual family income must be ₹2.50 Lakh or below
• Should not be availing of any other central/state-funded scholarship
• Only two students per family are eligible (twins allowed as an exception)
• The student must not have failed the last qualifying examination


Exclusions

• More than two students from the same family (except twins)
• Students availing other scholarships/stipends
• Students who fail or repeat a class
• Applicants furnishing false documents/information

Step 3: Fill in personal details to receive the Application ID via SMS
Step 4: Log in using Application ID & complete OTP verification

Step 6: Fill in academic, bank & disability details in the Application Form
Step 7: Upload documents and click Final Submit

    No. You won’t be eligible in this case.
  • By when shall the scholarship become payable?
    The scholarship will become payable after the student has secured admission and has started attending classes.

    The benefits are provided for the complete duration of the course.
  • What would be the mode of payment of the scholarship?
    The payment of the scholarship will be through DBT.
  • Will the Maintenance Allowance be provided as a lump sum or in installments?
    Maintenance allowance will be given as a fixed lump sum
  • What if there is more than one student with equal marks for the last available slot?
    In such cases, the percentage of disability will be considered. The candidate with a higher percentage of disability will get preference. In case there is still a tie, the age will be considered, and the older candidate will get preference.
  • Will I be eligible for the scholarship if I fail to get promoted to the next semester?
    Yes, 50% of the total slots are reserved for girls.

  • Is there any application fee?
    No. The entire application process is completely free of cost.
  • I am a renewal applicant. Am I allowed to migrate to another school during the period of the academic course?
    No. Doing so may result in suspension or cancellation of the scholarship.
  • What if a student violates school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship?
    In such cases, his/her scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
  • How will the school decide if a student has been regular in attendance?
    The criteria for the same will be decided by the competent authority of the school.
  • Do I need to complete the application in one sitting?
    No. You can save the application as a draft and continue at a later time before the deadline.
  • How do I track the status of my application?
    You can check the same anytime by visiting the Applicant Dashboard and clicking “Track Status” in the left pane.
  • What should be the type and size of the documents to be uploaded?
    The format should be .pdf or .jpeg. The size of each document should not be greater than 200 kb.
  • In what cases is a Bonafide Certificate from the institute needed?
    The Bonafide Certificate is needed to be uploaded with the application in a case where the institute is located in a State/UT different from the domicile State/UT of the applicant.
