• Students must be permanent residents of Bihar.

• Applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 1,50,000.
• Applicants should belong to economically weaker sections (EWS)

1) Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana (Class 10+2 Girls): 

• The Applicant should be an Unmarried female student, not from a family of government employees or income taxpayers.
• Must have passed Class 12 (+2) (any stream) from a recognised Bihar board or institution.
• A maximum of two girls from a single family are eligible, and their parents should not be government employees.

2) Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana (Graduate Students)

• Must be a permanent resident of Bihar and an Unmarried female student, family must not include government employees or income tax payers.
• She must have completed graduation from a recognised university in Bihar within a specified timeframe (typically between April 2021 and November 2024, or between 2017–2021).
• At the time of application, the student must be unmarried. (Otherwise, the application is rejected)
• A maximum of two girls from a single family are eligible.
