As an enrolled member with BoCW Welfare Board, the worker will receive a Construction Certificate popularly known as the Labour Card. A Construction Certificate/Labour Card is a document with the worker’s personal details like DoB, Address, Registration Number, Date of Registration along with details of the next date of renewal.
The Construction Certificate/Labour Card is to be shown when applying for any of the claims under the BoCW Act. It is important for the worker to renew their Construction Certificate/Labour Card in order to remain active members. If a worker does not renew the card, he will not be eligible for the benefit in future, but with the permission of the authorized officer, the membership can be returned with the outstanding amount, though this facility will not be available more than 2 time
