Objective of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship
The main objective of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is to provide equal opportunities to people who were unable to continue their education due to Financial Constraints. It can be very beneficial to students who are from economically backward Sections of Society and, due to some reasons, were not able to continue their education. The Scholarship also provides travel expenses and applies to students pursuing postgraduate degrees who are working. Eligibility Criteria
1st)APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship (Jamia Millia Islamia)
Applicant must be pursuing graduation or post-graduation and must have passed 12th or graduation degree with 75% Attendance. Family income should not be more than 2 lakhs per annum.
2nd) Dr Abdul Kalam Scholarship, Kerala:
Under this Scholarship programme must be a domicile in Kerala state; other communities like Parsis, Sikhs, Jains, and Christians can also apply, provided they show the domicile proof. Applicants belonging to the BPL families are given preference if their family income is not more than 8 lakhs.
3rd) Fulbright Kalam Climate Fellowship:
The Applicant must be an Indian Citizen and reside in India with an excellent academic record. For Students who are applying for doctoral research, they must have enrolled in a PHD Program in India. Fluency in English is Mandatory
4th) President APJ Abdul Kalam Post Graduate Fellowship ( University of South Florida)
Students who have completed their graduation in India must have submitted the application form to the University of Florida and have received their University ID number. They should be willing to pursue all subjects like Chemistry Integrative, PHD programs, Applied Anthropology, along with other mentioned programs.
5th) Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships (University of Sydney)
All students applying for this Scholarship must be willing to pursue graduation from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the University of Sydney. Applicants should also clear either an Australian year 12 qualification or an International senior secondary equivalent to an ATAR of at least 98.
6th) Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNTE Awards
Applicant students studying in class 12th can apply for this scholarship. Age should not be more than 18 years.
7th) Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program
Students currently pursuing the 1st year MSC Program can apply for this programme.
Important Note: Students who are pursuing the first to final year of the integrated ME/ M Tech program CGPA 8 or CGPA 7 for CFTI or GATE Score ≥600 or NET) can apply for this scholarship. The students who are currently pursuing the 1st year of the ME/ M Tech program who have a CGPA of 8.0 or more, or students who are pursuing B.E./B. Tech level who have a CGPA of 7.0 on a scale of CFT or GATE Score ≥ 600 or NET (Engineering) rank from 1 to 100 are eligible for this scholarship
Other Qualifications
- Educational qualifications like CGPA, SAT score can be given preference.
- Students who have an excellent track record will be given preference.
- Shortlisting the students and the process is according to the will of the organizer of the workshop, and the background of the students will be kept in mind.
Documents Required for Application
- 10th class Transfer Certificate and scanned copy of the last year’s mark sheet.
- Copy of Identity card issued by the university.
- Copy of Annual Income certificate of the Family.
- A letter written by the candidate for justification for availing of the scholarship in less than 300 words.
- Death Certificate of parents ( in case of death cases only)
- The application must be attested by the Dean of the Institute / Head of the Department / Director of the Centre.
