HDFC Bank Parivartan’s Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS) Programme is an initiative of HDFC Bank that aims to support meritorious and needy students belonging to underprivileged sections of society. The scholarship programme is meant for school students from Class 1 to 12 and those pursuing diploma, ITI, polytechnic, UG and PG (general and professional) programmes. Under the ECSS programme, the students who are unable to bear the cost of education due to personal/family crises or any other financial problems and are at a risk of dropping out are provided with monetary assistance of up to INR 75,000 for their studies.

HDFC Bank’s social initiative ‘Parivartan’ has been a catalyst in making a difference in the lives of people through its interventions in the areas of rural development, education, skill development and livelihood enhancement, healthcare & hygiene and financial literacy.

What if I don’t have my current year’s admission fee receipt?

Applicants must submit proof of their current year’s admission to apply for this scholarship. If you do not have the fee receipt, you can submit the admission letter/admission confirmation letter to be considered for this scholarship.

Am I eligible with 53.4% marks in Class 8?

No. You must score at least 55% marks in your qualifying examination to be eligible for this scholarship.

Is the scholarship renewable for next years?

This scholarship is now available for multiple years for students pursuing Class 11 and above for their current educational level. It aims to provide ongoing academic support for our current scholars who continue to meet the eligibility criteria in the subsequent years.

The Bank holds rights to change eligibility criteria at any point of time.

Which documents are valid as income proof?

The applicants can upload any of the following documents as proof of income –

  • Income certificate issued by SDM/DM/Collector’s Office/Tehsildar

  • Salary slip or letter from employer

  • ITR

  • Affidavit

What documents are required for different crisis situations?

The following documents can be submitted for different crisis cases –

Self-employment failure An affidavit from Notary stating your self-employment failure

Natural disasters Document issued by the government authorities stating that the person is affected by a natural disaster

Application Deadline for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS

The applications for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Programme will open in three rounds/cycles. The first cycle deadline is September 4, 2024, the second cycle deadline is October 30, 2024, and the third cycle deadline is December 31, 2024.
