Poverty remains one of the leading reasons behind school dropouts in Odisha, especially among children of daily wage earners. To address this issue, the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has introduced the Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana (NSKY). Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a child of a registered BoC worker with at least 1 year of membership
Both parents cannot claim separately for the same child if both are registered
• A maximum of two children per family are eligible
• Girls are exclusively eligible for Classes 6 & 7
• From Class 8 onwards, both boys and girls are eligible
• 50% minimum annual attendance is mandatory for all applicants
• Applicants must upload a valid Course Continuation and Attendance Certificate
